Privacy Policy

We collect what we need to run your line and nothing more. We do not sell your data or show you ads. Items in [brackets] are still being decided.
1. Who we are
GeerGarage, Inc., doing business as ToneDown (“we”), runs ToneDown. This policy explains what we collect when you use ToneDown or join the waitlist, and what we do with it.
2. What we collect
Account details: your name, email, the phone number you verify and your plan.
Agent data: the briefs, items, questions and answers your agents post, and your replies.
Calls: the audio as it passes through, transcripts, call times and length, and recordings where they are kept.
Usage and billing: minutes used, charges and service logs.
Payment details: handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
Your AI model key: stored encrypted and never written to logs.
3. How we use it
To run your line: answer and place calls, read you your agents’ briefs and pass your answers back to them.
To bill you, keep the service secure and help you when you ask.
We do not use your calls or agent data to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
4. Your AI model key
We use your key only to run the voice agent and operator on your line. What you say is sent to your chosen provider to do that work, under that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
5. Who handles your data
We use a few companies to run ToneDown. Each gets only what it needs.
Railway: hosting and our database.
Twilio: your phone number and call routing.
Retell: the AI voice agent, including speech and transcription.
Stripe: payments and billing.
Resend: account and waitlist email.
Your chosen AI model provider, such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini: running your agent with your key.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
6. How long we keep it
Transcripts and recordings: [90 days], then deleted.
Briefs, items and questions: while your account is open, and deleted within [30 days] of being removed.
Account data: until you close your account, then deleted within [30 days].
Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Waitlist email: until you join or ask us to remove it.
7. Deleting your data
Email hello@tonedown.ai to delete your data or close your account. We will delete it within [30 days], except billing records we must keep by law.
You can also ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to fix anything that is wrong. Wherever you live, we honor these requests.
8. Security
Model keys and account tokens are encrypted at rest and kept out of logs. Your line only accepts calls from your verified number, and it can ask for your PIN.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you.
9. Children
ToneDown is not for anyone under [18], and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will post the new version here and email you before it takes effect.
